Luxe Calistoga

Luxe Calistoga

Set in the heart of Calistoga (which is the the mud-bath capital of California!), this historic bed and breakfast inn was built in 1873. Calistoga is at the northern tip of Napa Valley's Highway 29 and the string of wineries that border it. The Inn is elegant, harkening back to another time, with a large wrap around porch.

There are only five rooms at the Luxe Calistoga. All are finished with luxury fabrics and linens and have private fireplaces. The spacious King Suite is decorated with vintage-style wallpaper, ochre walls, original hardwood floors, and bay windows, large enough to curl up in for reading. The bathroom has an oversized soaking tub and elegant marbled floors.

Breakfast is served brunch style from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM. If you're feeling social, sit in the dining room, or if you're in the mood for privacy, take a seat at a table on the porch. Each evening starting at 5 PM, guests gather on the porch for a taste of local wines and cheeses. Guests give this B&B a near-perfect 98% rating.

The Cottages of Napa Valley

The Cottages of Napa Valley

If you've never been, Yountville you're going to love this charming town in the middle of Wine Country. Stay at one of the Cottages and you're close to some of the best restaurants in the world — French Laundry, Bouchon, and our personal favorite, Bistro Jeanty. The cottages themselves are elegant, modern and tasteful. If you're not a fan of Victorian fluffy and overstuffed decoration, the cottages' clean design will be more your style.

Traveling with the family or a group of wine-loving friends? Book the two bedroom cottage, the largest one on the property. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom and a fully-equipped kitchen for whipping up impromptu meals to pair with all that great local wines. Other nice touches are the breakfast basket delivered each morning to your porch, and the cozy word-burning fireplace. And, with a 97% overall rating, you're not going to want to miss staying here.

The cottage was very spacious. The bedding was amazing — probably 1,000 thread count sheets. The morning delivery of pastries from Bouchon was very endearing. Location just south of Yountville is perfect for exploring Napa Valley."

Potter's Foothill House

Potter's Foothill House

We don't know about you, but we love having breakfast served in our room. Sometimes it can feel like a chore to socialize with other guests too early in the morning. The folks at Foothill House understand this and will deliver your hot breakfast to your room, where you can enjoy its goodness while still wrapped in your plush robe.

The charming Napa Valley bed and breakfast inn was once a farmhouse and dates back to 1897. The rooms (and one suite) have wonderful names like Chateau, Sterling, Castella and Palisades and are decorated in a bold, modern style. The Palisades features a four-poster bed, vaulted ceiling, and fireplace.

We were treated like family from day one to the day we checked out. They are striving to be the #1 B&B in Napa, and surely will reach that goal if they continue like this. The room was huge and renovated. Extremely comfy bed with our own private garden and sitting area."

Lavender

Lavender

If you love Provençal touches like dried lavender bunches, a sunny yellow breakfast room, wrought iron patio tables, and chairs with French tablecloths, then this just might be the right bed and breakfast inn for your stay in the Napa Valley. Each room has a king-size bed, with comfy cushions and a jet-spa tub. Book the Lavender Suite with a separate living room and fireplace.

At the Lavender there's always a seasonal special package to entice, like the Suite Bliss Package that includes an evening wine & appetizer service, a bottle of California bubbles, a box of Le Belge chocolate and other romantic touches. We like the Bon Appetit Dinner Package that includes a $50 dining certificate to Bouchon, Brix or Hurley's restaurant and an upgrade to a VIP tasting at V. Sattui Winery.

Inn St Helena

Inn St Helena

Once you stay in St Helena (at the Inn St Helena), you will never want to leave. This is a quintessential American town that harkens back to another era, when folks spent time in their rockers sipping ice tea on the front porch. This napa bed and breakfast inn's eight precious rooms are in the heart of downtown St Helena.

We love the names of the rooms & suites — Mollie Day, the Ambrose Bierce Suite, Eadweard Muybridge (an American writer), Lillie Langtry (famous beauty & actress). The rooms of the guest cottage are Wisteria and Bamboo. Book the Loft Studio Apartment and you'll have your own entrance, a fully equipped kitchen, family room, and steam bath.
